Why Doesn’t “Cultural Appropriation” Apply to This Leftist Icon?

As we reported earlier this week, Twitter turned into a racist battlefield recently after a Utah teenager had the audacity to post a picture of herself in her Chinese-style prom dress.

Following the example of one offended Asian who famously wrote “my culture is not your goddamn prom dress”, a literal horde of social justice warriors took turns blasting the teen over her horrible crime of finding another cultural aesthetically pleasing.

Through this episode we see an exposed double standard — as Canada’s Liberal Prime Minister Justin Trudeau appropriates seemingly every culture he comes into contact with. The image of the PM here is just one example. Trudeau has also been spotted wearing a kilt, a kimono, and every other stereotypical traditional garb during state visits with foreign leaders.

As a reminder, Trudeau is absolutely idolized by the left. His reputation for being obsessed with identity politics has cemented his status as a loyal leftist. Apparently, this means that the PM can get away with as much cultural appropriation as he wants.
