When Are Democrats Going to Learn this Isn’t Going to Happen?

How many times have you heard the left claim that Donald Trump’s political career is over?

You’ve heard it multiple times this year, last year, and well before the real estate mogul had even won a primary against his Republican challengers. Since he launched his campaign, Trump has weathered one media hit job after another. And while he certainly hasn’t emerged completely unscathed, he has survived long enough to prove that he is basically unsinkable.

Now, Democrats in the media and on Capitol Hill are going through this same routine again following court decisions involving Michael Cohen and Paul Manafort. Ironically, Manafort’s convictions have little if anything to do with Trump himself, as just about everything he’s been charged with predate Trump’s campaign at all. Nevertheless, the witch hunt is in full force.

Make no mistake — if Democrats win control of Congress in 2018, the chance that we will see articles of impeachment filed is pretty high. Whether or not the Senate will proceed is an entirely different story. Even then, the Senate is hardly likely to remove the president from office.

Perhaps its better for Democrats to continue living this fantasy, rather than actually developing a platform to recapture the support of the white working class…
