The radical left has almost entirely taken over the Democratic Party in 2018 — to the point where the word “liberal” can no longer accurately describe it. Liberals are people like John F. Kennedy, who cut taxes for the middle class. Leftists are people like Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, who says capitalism is evil.
This change has been trending for several years, with the presidency of Barack Obama largely responsible for the party’s modern obsession with intersectionality, and even a watered down socialism. There is very good reason to believe that JFK and other Democrats of his time would be Republicans today. For many older Americans, this is actually the case.
