Saying “Pregnant Women” is Problematic Now

Just in case you were wondering how the third wave feminists are doing, the Equality Institute has you covered.

We’ve come a long, long way in the gender studies arena over the past few years. With literally hundreds of new genders being invented every few months, it’s pretty hard to keep up with the intersectionality crowd, so we often don’t even try. That’s why images like this make our collective jaws drop to the floor at the speed of sound.

Yes, apparently the phrase “pregnant” women is offensive to some folks because other genders can get pregnant too. Now, that’s of course biologically impossible. Pregnancy requires a vulva and a few other nifty attachments. But, in a world where gender is a social construct that you can change at will like the werewolves in the Underworld movies, we can see how this could be confusing.

So get it straight, bigots: it’s “pregnant people” now — and don’t let anyone tell you that femininity is biological or some radically racist nonsense like that. Accept the backwards logic the left feeds you, and stop asking questions.
