Rod Rosenstein’s Un-Redacted Memo Revealed!

Does anyone remember why Special Counsel Robert Mueller has a job in the first place?

Here’s a refresher: after President Donald Trump fired former FBI Director James Comey, Mueller was tapped to continue the investigation into the Trump campaign’s alleged ties with the Russian government — a relationship the president’s critics say was the key factor in the electoral defeat of Democrat Hillary Clinton.

That’s it. That’s the entire reason why Mueller is even a household name at this point. But, with the basis of the investigation (namely the Clinton-funded dossier) being almost completely discredited, many seem to forget why this investigation is happening at all.

This is what makes the declassification of a memo by Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein so important. The heavily redacted memo supposedly outlines Mueller’s authority in the investigation as well as the scope of the matter. As this satirical image accurately points out, the only real purpose behind any of this is to boot the president from office.
