Porn Lawyer Michael Avenatti Arrested for Domestic Assault

Well…well…well…

The creepy porn lawyer best known for being the attorney for adult film actress Stormy Daniels and one of CNN’s favorite guests has been arrested on charges for domestic assault. In other news, liberals across America suddenly believe in due process again months after deciding that it didn’t matter.

Avenatti, of course, was one of the leading voices condemning the Republican Party and Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh after the then-federal judge was accused of attempting to rape Dr. Christine Blasey Ford at some unknown time and place in the 1980s. None of the allegations against Kavanaugh have been corroborated in any way, but that didn’t stop partisans like Avenatti from suggesting that America was in the midst of some sort of Handmaiden’s Tale scenario.

Of course, we’re going to afford Avenatti the same treatment we would give anyone accused of a crime — the man is innocent until he is proven guilty in a court of law. That’s how western republics work. People don’t just get thrown into dungeons because other people say the’ve done something bad. There is a strict legal process, and we follow it.

Does Avenatti deserve our benefit of the doubt? Absolutely not. But we’re going to stand tall anyway, because the other side isn’t going to.
