Pat Sajak Reminds Liberals They are Free to Pay More in Taxes

Smackdowns from conservative celebrities always seem to feel like a breath of fresh air.

Recently, Republicans in the Senate approved their highly-anticipated tax reform bill, which has been billed by the Trump administration as the largest tax cut in the country’s history. Predictably, Democrats have written it off as an anti-poor subsidy bill for the wealthiest Americans, suggesting that letting productive members of society keep more of their own money somehow amounts to theft.

Wheel of Fortune host Pat Sajak wasn’t touting the typical Hollywood script when liberals across social media began to protest, letting everyone know that they are still free to be as charitable as they please come tax day.

The tragic part about this whole debate is that the majority of the people in opposition are actually benefitting the most from the changes. While the president is marketing the bill as the most radical legislation in modern history, the truth is that it’s actually pretty moderate — in that it keeps taxes on the rich relatively high and scraps many popular loopholes.
