The Soviet Union collapses under its own bureaucratic weight? Oh, that’s because they actually abandoned Marxist principles. Cuba turns into a rogue police state? That’s because of America, or something. Venezuela devolves into a starvation-ridden free-for-all? That’s because Maduro isn’t socialist enough.
