Liberal Elites Try to Act JUST LIKE YOU, and Fail

One of the hardest things to watch every time a new election cycle picks up is how wealthy, well-connected, and pampered politicians try to pretend to be exactly like the working class.

Obviously, there are some notable exceptions to this — President Donald Trump did not for one second ever play the whole “I know what it’s like to be poor” card, because he doesn’t. He’s a billionaire, and proud of it. Instead, he chose to just speak like a normal person, which means yes — sometimes he’ll swing low at his rivals, just like everyday people do on a regular basis.

As 2019 basically becomes the precursor to 2020, we see Democratic presidential hopefuls trying to play the same game, and failing miserably.

Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren tried to show all of us just how hip and cool she was during an Instagram livestream by drinking a beer. That’s right, this Ivy League professor also enjoys adult beverages. She just happens to look like she’s never tasted beer in her life every time she awkwardly thrusts the bottle up to her face. Totally relatable.

Then of course we have Texas Democrat Beto O’Rourke, who despite losing his Senate campaign to incumbent Ted Cruz is presumed by many to have a real fighting chance of being the DNC’s next presidential pick. He was last scene in a video taken during a recent trip to the dentist recorded as the dentist was working on him — because everyone does that, right? So social media. So cool.

2020 is going to be a riot.
