Once every four years, Americans across the country like to pretend they suddenly care deeply about soccer. And to be fair, it’s a nice change of pace from the typical sports we enjoy throughout the year. It also presents a great opportunity for brain-dead liberals on social media to demonstrate how stupid they are.
Blue-check-marked Twitter user Kevin Rothrock took it upon himself to point out exactly what was wrong with Russia’s soccer team while everyone else was foolishly enjoying the games. Apparently, there aren’t enough people of color on the team, meaning Russia’s soccer team is actually comprised entirely of white supremacist Nazis.
There’s something especially stupid about comparing Russians to Nazis, considering just about all of them are directly descended from people who actually shot at Nazis repeatedly. Even today, in the Russia which has decidedly moved away from the legacy of Joseph Stalin and communism, Nazism is culturally and politically demonized (as it should be). The National Bolsheviks, a white supremacist group which has found a way to admire both Stalin and Adolf Hitler at the same time, is banned from participating in the country’s democratic process.
Now, we’re going going to pretend that Russia espouses the same political values we do in the west, but we are going to point out stupidity where we see it.
