Ah, Karl Marx — perhaps the most important thought leader on the left in a hundred years, proclaimed by many to be the voice of the working class and those stuck in the wrong end of the social hierarchy…
Apparently, Marx’s personal misgivings have far outlived him.
If you care to visit the grave of the man responsible for codifying an ideology responsible for the deaths of millions, be prepared to cough up some cash — because it isn’t free. Yes — the pseudo-intellectual who popularized the argument that profits are inherently evil can’t have plebs hanging around his final resting place.
If you’re even vaguely familiar with socialism or communism, the irony here should be painfully clear from the start. Shouldn’t the so-called voice of the working class be free of charge to visit?
The funniest thing about this is that placing a fee for a grave visit undoubtedly prices out some of his most hardcore supporters.
