If CNN Reported on ‘A Christmas Story’

Poking fun at CNN is great any time of the year, but Christmas-themed shots like make it even better.

This image really calls to mind a very important question: if A Christmas Story came out today, how do you think the media would react? Would it become known as the wholesome Christmas family comedy it is remembered as today — or would CNN and other liberal media outlets like HuffPost have a different take?

It’s safe to assume that we would definitely see more of the latter. Think about it: the movie concludes with a boy receiving his favorite gun as a Christmas gift. The reviews would be almost too predictable: charges of toxic masculinity and promoting gun violence would run rampant.

In fact, we’re pretty sure they would find a way to call it sexist too — because the film is generally favorable to traditional gender roles.
