Twice-failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has at least one thing in common with the Los Angeles Rams following 2019’s Super Bowl event — they’re both losers. The difference is that the Rams will get to try their luck again next year, and presumably every year after that as long as the franchise remains viable and the NFL’s ratings don’t continue to sink as much as they have.
Now, it may not be entirely fair to compare Clinton to the Rams directly. By all accounts, the Rams were holding their own against the New England Patriots for a the majority of the game. It wasn’t really until the fourth quarter when it became clear that the game was going to end in New England’s favor. Clinton, by contrast, was soundly defeated in the Electoral College vote, despite every single political analyst predicting the opposite.
Nevertheless, it’s a humorous comparison. And to be honest, we never really get tired of memes taking jabs at Hillary Clinton. There’s just something uniquely satisfying about it.
