You read it here first folks — Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian election meddling will finally conclude several decades after Donald Trump leaves office.
Remember when Keith Olbermann announced he was stepping down from political commentary because Mueller was going to release his proof any minute now? Good times.
Of course, this is all hyperbole, but it seems like less of a joke every day. After spending tens of millions of dollars to uncover whether or not President Donald Trump colluded with the Russian government to defeat Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election, the special counsel has been silent. If the goal is to unseat an illegitimate president, wouldn’t it be better to make sure that happens before he is half way through his first term?
At this point, it’s looking more and more like deep state insiders are preferring to make this an election issue for 2020, rather than defending America’s democratic process by removing an unelected leader as soon as possible.
Again, that may sound like tinfoil hat talk, but all of this waiting isn’t helping Mueller’s cause — if there even is one.
