Fact: Lettuce Killed More People Than Guns This Month

Earlier in December, we were all told to stop eating romaine lettuce products after reports surfaced that consumers were becoming sick from eating them.

The warning has since been lifted, but it did provide a rare opportunity to showcase exactly how stupid anti-gun alarmism is — because the statement in the image here is completely accurate.

Gun control was a hot topic in 2018. With the highly politicized Parkland high school shooting occurring in February, liberal Democrats have spent the better part of the whole year pushing for the most radical gun control policies ever considered in the country’s history. While this didn’t materialize at the federal level, several states as well as more than a few private corporations have since passed policies blatantly infringing on the Second Amendment.

Adults under 21-years-old in many cases were disallowed from being able to purchase semi-automatic rifles — or really any rifle at all. Some states enacted new limits on magazine sizes, and others have even began confiscating firearms from private citizens all because anonymous tips suddenly count as evidence of potential future wrongdoing.

Perhaps it’s time to take a hard look inside ourselves and remember the real killer of 2018: romaine lettuce.
