Everything You’ve Been Told About “Child Prisons” is a Lie

In case you haven’t been watching CNN, we’ll catch you up on everything really quickly: innocent immigrant children are being thrown into concentration camps, and President Donald Trump has revealed himself to be an actual Nazi bent on restoring the Third Reich.

Yes, that sounds ridiculous, but it isn’t far off from the sentiment the mainstream media has been expressing over footage showing the federal government enforcing an existing law on the books.

Children crossing into the United States with adults are being separated from their parents not because the Trump administration is an evil Nazi regime, but because the U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals (among the most liberal court in the country), ruled that it was illegal for the Obama administration to keep children and adults together when illegal immigrants are detained.

Because of the laws on our books, children can only be detained for so long. It also allows law enforcement to verify if the adults they are showing up with are even their biological parents.

But, don’t let facts get in the way of your feelings. It’s very clear what the left actually wants here — amnesty for everyone who arrives even by accident.
