Being Factually Right Isn’t Really Important, Apparently

Look everyone, it’s our favorite political gaffe machine — New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the self-proclaimed future of the Democratic Party.

We get it — we write about AOC a lot, and so do a lot of other sites with a right-wing bend. The thing is we wish we didn’t have to. The problem is that this doll of a politician drops so many gems so often that she literally makes herself impossible for us to ignore. Perhaps that’s her plan?

That doesn’t matter — what does matter is the absolute bombshell she dropped on Anderson Cooper last week. During an exclusive interview, the rising Democratic star who was sworn in less than a fortnight ago addressed her tendency to say things that are found to be at best just barely grounded in reality. Apparently, getting all the facts straight isn’t all that important when you have a moral compass bestowed upon you by the gods.

This may seem like just another episode of “AOC says something stupid”, but we think it’s an important revelation into how she and others like her actually think. To the progressive left, their version of morality trumps everything. Social justice is their religion. Make no mistake, AOC meant exactly what she said here, and that’s frightening.
