The Democratic Party likes to sell itself as the more compassionate alternative to ruthless, cold-hearted conservatism every election cycle, but this image quickly falls apart when you take a close look at the areas they actually govern.
Chicago has been a Democratic stronghold for about as long as nearly anyone can remember. While the city was once known for being one of the more economically and culturally productive areas in the entire United States, many now describe it as a literal battlefield with violent street gangs vying for control.
A big part of this has been the city’s reputation for disarming its legal population, as well as lax policing.
If Democrats really want us to believe their utopian solutions will make the United States a more peaceful, prosperous place to live, they might want to start off with fixing the areas they have exclusively controlled for the better part of the past century.
