How Much Longer Will Liberals Blame Russian Bots for Everything?

You read it here first folks — if you happen to encounter an opinion that prompts you to rethink your worldview for more than a few seconds, you’re definitely speaking with a hostile Russian bot operated by Vladimir Putin himself.

This is basically the argument coming from the left in the waning days of the Trump-Russia investigation.

As a quick refresher, Robert Mueller and friends did in fact uncover evidence that the Russian government attempted to intervene in the 2016 presidential election, but not at all in the way Democrats have been saying. Instead of the Kremlin gunning for Trump as we’ve been told for the better part of two years, it turns out that Russian-bought Facebook ads were simply created to be generally disruptive.

These targeted ads also supported Bernie Sanders as well as other Republicans not named Donald Trump. From this, we can only surmise one thing: Russia wanted to promote instability in the United States, and it accomplished this goal with flying colors. However, there is still no evidence whatsoever that these ads had any affect on the election result.

Nevertheless, the left hasn’t given up on making the argument that Russian influence is deeply entrenched in the Trump administration, despite the commander-in-chief ordering a direct attack on one of the Kremlin’s satellite states in addition to green-lighting a new slew of sanctions against America’s former Cold War rival.
